She was on the street, likely dumped, hungry and still very young. We knew she was a female among the few ferals that show up intermittently for food, but we knew we had to get her spayed asap. So we scooped her up and took care of business and she was in the garage cage until it got really cold here for three days.
So I make shifted an indoor cage area for her and she is loving the extra attention and comes out to sit on our laps. she is getting along with the others at a distance, except Skade - of course she is the girl in the same dining and kitchen area that she would have to share real estate with.
We’re just playing it by ear - not sure if they will work it out and she can stay inside or go back to the garage cage…I’m thinking she can do both…a little shuffling for me, but that’s what I do all day anyway…with this insane clowder.
We just let her out of her cage enclosure to roam for the first time - just now - Skade is locked in the window cage for the moment…she is such a lovebubble, that we might have to make room for her instead of trying to find a home.
She is the sweetest girl ever…warms my heart to know that she is getting love instead of giving birth to kittens in 17 degree weather on the street. A pyrrhic victory, but a victory, nonetheless…
Anyway, Freya is doing great and I thought I would post some glamour pics.
laying on daddy’s lap…
such a colorful girl…
She wants me to put an ad in the neighborhood page to find Skade a new home…
Skade is asking some pointy questions…
Have a fabulous and furry evening, frenz…
